In my house my bathroom floor is so creaky I’ve got to replace it, or most of it.
It looks like chip board but over chip board & it also seems that where a pipe run is the under chip board has been cut out. It’s a bodge.
I’m going to take out toilet & basin unit, rip up the floor & put a new thick floor down. I think & hope it’s only half of it as the half with the shower cubicle on seems ok & isn’t noisy.
Shall I use thick marine ply? If not, what’s best?
While I’m at it I’ll replace the towel rad with something sexy!
Cheers all

I'd use tongue n' grove for a bathroom floor, marine ply is ok too, its just I like proper wood, also think about what goes on top, if you tile on top, then you need plywood over the boards then the tiles, so if your base wood is too thick, by the time your finished floor is done, you have a step down from the bathroom to the adjoining room/hall/landing,

I’ll go carpet
Some people will disagree with carpet in a bathroom but as a council house kid it was carpet!
