I said i was going to finish, I made my mind up, no more, its time for fishing, travelling, enjoying the time i have left, BUT, I can't say no when someone phones wanting a job doing, Ive got a problem with it, Its an addiction and worse than that, there is no cure, The doc says, " here Tom we'll write you a sick note" What good is a sick note ? , If an alkie wants booze, you give him a small amount, if a druggie wants drugs, you give him a small dose, but if a workaholic wants more work,,you give him a rest,,this world is not on a workers side,

funny you should say that PB, It was an electricians house i was working in today, he had started the plumbing then realised, its not like threading wires, he got fed up after half a day and called for help,,  |

A small wallet with a couple of screwdrivers and a wire cutter is about all they need for 99% of their jobs. My mate (an electrician) told me he was thinking about buying a van.. I asked him why he needed a van to cart his screwdrivers around,,, ,,,, and he had to agree,, Jaguar EXF it is then. |

Got to say that I'm feeling just the same. Back in the 80s lots of people retired at 60 some even younger and I thought that 60 would be a nice age to call it a day at and take early retirement. I think now, fuck it why should a youngsters have my job - I'm working till I drop!!! Seriously, I think were so used to serving the public that it becomes so embedded into our brains that we just can't let it go. |

If it’s a shitty job then you’ll be found fishing. If people want you & only you they’ll pay you’re premium. It’s their choice. |
