An interesting one on a FB Page & one Id never considered: Most of us have a 4” grinders, a handy wee tool for lots of jobs. I’ve recently been buying the thin blades, metal or stone, however, I noticed a fellow Sweety Sock had recommended a diamond disc, cause it’ll cut anything & last for years!! Fuck me senseless with a sky blue duster, I thought to myself!!!!.......That so fucking obvious!!!! Under three quid at Toolstation too, so for any tightwad Jock that’s a bargain.
Everyday’s a Skool Day eh chaps, even for us old farts👍👍

Diamond blades are great for cutting cast iron pipe and gutters, quicker, safer and less sparks than the cheap grit discs that disintegrate when you put a bit pressure on them.

They’re using diamond discs for everything: UPVC soil pipe & boiler flues etc.

I have one in my angle grinder. Useful when fitting a kitchen extractor that has a chimney too long to fit (with low ceilings) Absolute godsend a diamond blade.
