Evening all,got another heating job on friday 1787034013 yippee . One rad not working, tried switch all other rads off, checked lock shield open, bleed it, checked pin on tmv.so on Friday Gona swapped tmv for new,if it's not tmv I'm Gona make a tom plum hand pump device and try and move blockage! Its on 6mm microbore😖it's on a reducer to tmv,I think it one of those reducers that snap apart when tightening up,can you re use these type of reducers??? Any more suggestions to get it up and running? Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I used somthing similar to one of these tools www.kamco.co.uk/Radhammer.htmlon a valve which was blocked and it did the job without any real work Endfeed - worth a thought.

is it 6mm or 8mm endfeed, I've never seen 6mm on heating. Anyrode my plan would be, take off the rad, put a bucket near the trv and open it, if nowt comes out, that the problem, just put a new one on, the new valve will fit right on the nut and reducer already there,

I've seen 6mm heating pipes once in my plumbing life. I passed on the job as I was strangely ''too busy''. Only option I would have considered was ripping out the 6mm and replacing it with something you can get fittings for. If you get a leak you're buggered until you can order and wait for delivery of anything, even an olive. I've tried to reseal those snapping reducers a couple of times without any success, I don't try any more and get the right sized TRV/Lockshield or use a reducer to convert to 15mm into the valve. Bloody hate the snapping things.
