Has anyone fitted a hob extractor fan?
I've got to do one, customer wants in vented outside.
How do the fix to the wall? It's only a cheap one with the vent hole in the top & no chimney.
Electric already in place as old one there

I've fitted one before rocky they are a piece of piss, the one I fitted I think I had to remove the filters and you can access where the screws go.  |

the one's I've done i run them on the top of the cupboards or if the joists run the right way I run a lenght of soil in the cieling from the outside to over the hood, |

Didn't do the job. Took the old one off & the whole through wall was there but too low as the vent comes out the top do need to core drill through wall 150mm.
Kitchen full of grease. Wore gloves & threw them away. Disgusting

Disgusting There are some dirty twat's out there rocketman , i remember going to a job a couple of years back and the young bird in there had 12 fooking cat's and the house smelt like a farmyard with cat litter trays all over the place , i had a quick look and thought to myself " Life's too short for this shit " so i told i needed to go get parts and fooked off quick never to return........... |

Some people's houses stink Cats I am not a fan of & hate the smell Reminds me of years ago when I worked for the local council. Took some lads out who were painting houses on one of the SRB (Single Regeneration Bids) contracts. This woman was having her front door painted (a nice light blue colour, full gloss oil based paint) Anyway my mate was painting the front door, and had the gloss paint in a tray on the ground. Flat front door, and a mini roller. He'd just about finished it when,, the lady's cat, which was outside, got chased by a dog. It ran like hell for leather for the safety of home,,, right through the paint tray and up on top the back of the sofa.. Fookin blue paint all over the place. My mate was going mental at this cat.. All I could do was piss meself laughing. |
