Went to customers two weeks ago they said they needed a new shower pump fitted for there shower in there shower room ...Look at old shower pump it was a Aqualisa on
the floor in airing cupboard only thing that was really wrong was it was fed mains cold water so I said i would have to change this to tank fed no problem they said any way
got the job ,, went round last week to fit new shower pump and fit dedicated tank cold feed as well, all done tested and the shower in shower room runs prefect brilliant job
done............then the customer says to me what about the shower in the bathroom ( after I fell over WTF ) ok lets try it guess what it would not work ....its a really old
Mira excell so from past experience I said probably need to remove cartridge and clean 2-off filter gauze each side off cartridge,,,, went back today to sort it out,,,, so
cleaned out the cartridge put it back hay presto WTF it will not work get hot but no cold ,,,,,,,,,,,,( now pipework setup ) Dedicated cold feed from tank to pump (22mm)
dedicated hot feed from cylinder to pump (15mm already present ) then 2-off outs from pump up into loft (15mm already present ) across loft floor down into shower room
all this works a treat,,,,Now for the shower that does not work,,,someone has tee'd into the 2 feeds to the shower room then again runs around loft floor to then go down to
shower in bathroom But are in plastic,, so I then removed the cartridge then where these two pipes tee in removed them and blew through no prblem put all back together
tried still not working,,Next went back to the tee'd in point remove the cold connection again this time connected an iso with a short length of pipe into a bucket then went
and turned on the shower in the shower room with pump running back up in loft now open iso water comes out all good,,turn all off reconnect then tried to switch on still
will not work,,, now at a loss what to do now its all pointing to new cartridge needed but the customer tells me it all worked before I changed the pump and cost of
cartridge £140 expensive to only find out it does not work ,,,,,,,,,, so worked this morning for nothing So what do you guy's think I should or could do to remedy this
