I didn't achieve the thing that I was trying to do with this video but thought I'd post it up anyway (as a point of interest) rather than simply just delete the footage. That's plumbing for you I guess when you actually want it to go wrong it goes right

nice one tappy, I get what its like to talk with people in the house, In my experience they usually say " hello, did you want me" and when you carry on talking, they come to you, some get annoyed, some are confused and some just realize whats going on and sneak back, Its best to do like you tappy, keep quiet and put captions on,

Haha sods law that, you want it to go wrong and it doesn't I noticed your shiny continuity bonding there. Not sure if everyone knows (I didn't til a sparky told me 2 weeks ago) if there's 17th edition or newer consumer unit - you don't need to cross bond any copper.

its a big scam Joe, they update the regs so the sparks have to resit tests, I've lost count of how many times cross bonding has changed, they do it to the gas heads too, example, back in the day, you did a 'drop' test on gas, then it changed to a 'tightness' test, it may have changed again since, but if you put drop test even though its the same thing, you failed, they have built in loads of pitfalls like that so you have to resit and pay again, just another example of middle management blood sucking, pen pushers, desk jockeys, smiley-face-shaking-fist

hey Tappy, would you mind if i used your video on my channel and narrated over it, explaining what your doing ? love the primus 2000 bottle. I did't think there was anyone still using those, they are a bit 1985, you'll love the china blow torch when it comes, you will throw bricks at your old primus when it arrives,,

If you think it'll be of any interest tom then go ahead. I first bought the primus in 1972 (when it was the bees knees of all blow lamps) The boss plumber was using something called I think a Taymar gas blowlamp back then (it had disposable canisters) and not long afterwards he also upgraded to the primus. I'm too young (that's something that I don't say too often these days ) to have ever encountered the paraffin blowlamps of the previous decade that the old plumbers used to mainly complain about! Tappy,

My general rule though is to put it back as it was regarding earth bonding. I remember the 90s when earth wires were being attached to everything - the bathroom radiator, the copper wastes, metal baths, S/S sinks, copper pipework, the ruddy earth wires and earth clips were attached to seemingly every bit of plumbing in the property!
