Attachment Deletedordeded one of these today, got an electric 10k/w shower in bathroom sucking the electric up, family stay in there for ages! Going to keep leccy shower for emergency s,but will isolate it.slap this on bath 2m shower hose. £52...good reviews 😀

good move endfeed, I have a similar set up, leccy shower for back up, mixer for everyday use off a combi, ours is just manual though, so you have to let the others in the house know,, but when the devil in me is active, I turn the sink tap open when she's having a shower, Well,, she does it too, Only I pretend it does't bother me, she screams the house down,,,  |

So let’s discuss this. A thermostatic mixer tap is different to other mixer taps because it the temp can be controlled easier?

A thermastatic is better because if you'r haveing a shower and someone turns a sink tap or the washer comes on and robs the water, you don't get scalded or frozed also when set the temp of the shower will stay constant, Unlike my shower which is a manual tap, If I'm in the shower and someone opens the sink tap the hot will stop coming to the shower so it runs cold, Brrrrr, In my case, it can't scald me because which ever tap you open at the sink will rob the boiler of its 12litre/min to work proper,
