So, my mate is all set to go on these new build flats next week.
He again want me there
I said to him as the main contractor you’re going to have to provide stuff such as toilet facilities, some heating in this weather, hot water, separate eating facilities.
He said, no, it’s bare, nothing there
I told him I’m ain’t working in sub minus temperatures.
Thinking back to college courses basic facilities need to be provided. It’s law.
I’m sure Wimpey Homes don’t tell their contractors there’s nothing on site & to just brave it!!

They have always SUPPOSED to do, but in the past I've worked on sites with fuck all there, and loved it, because then they cannot preach about, hard hats,hi vis vests and all the other bullshit regs, Its back to basic building how it was when real men worked on sites, I much prefer it that way,  |

You are better off doing your own work mate, put some ads out for general plumbing work and you'll make good money swapping out taps, rads, cylinders, toilet repairs, shower pumps Never be hesitant to take any plumbing work on rocky and if you're not sure about anything just ask.  |

If I ever get my redundant,im going to be self employed! Before I got this job im in now I was set to go self employed,still got van,all the tools(to many)business cards.. id love to do this to some of my gaffassmiley-finger005

Is your mate a Plumber Sub-Contracting to a Builder R??
I really can’t see how there’s nothing there??!!!! FFS there will be other trades & other guys there, they can’t all be pissing in a bucket? Plus, they’ll not be able to run a site without H&S & Welfare Facilities, the Council would shut it down.
If the job is of size LABC will visit several times too.
Most of the time I work on New Builds & they’re like Holiday Camps compared to what it was like in the 70’s & 80’s.
