hi does my boiler have a condensate pipe? I have a vaillant boiler fitted approx in 2002/2003 and wanted to know if it has a condensate pipe. There is a copper pipe going through to the outside wall. is that the condensate?

no, thats the 'blow off' your might not be because they could fit none condecers to 2005 and many were fitted after that date, I know because I fitted loads cos they were cheaper, the merchants put them on clearance sale to get shut, and I love a bargain

if you've got one, its at the bottom of the boiler and its plasic pipe usually 3/4 overflow pipe from the boiler, then should be upped in size to prevent freezing, but in the early days they just used overflow pipe, thats why they freeze,
