hi.my question is with regards to wall plugs. Does the screw length have to be longer than the the plug itself for the wall plug to work correctly? many thanks

Hi aj the hole needs to be fractionly deeper than the plug but not too deep, about 1 or 2 millimeters, also the right size drill, it will normally say on the box or packet 7mm for brown 6 mm for red,

hi.my question is with regards to wall plugs. So the length of the screw will be determined by the object you’re fixing. Wall Plugs are cheap, I use Rawlplug Uno plugs. It’s a universal Plug made here in Glasgow, check them out mate.

as Dick says, the screw will determine the depth, If its a dry lined wall, there will be plaster board then a gap then brick or block, you need the plug in the brick or block so it will need knocking in to the brick,
