hi.as many of you know i am just a diyer and not professional plumber. Got this waste arrangement under me kitchen sink, keeps leaking its the cheapo grey one. I want to change it to a mcalpine trap i have bought.i have bught but not sure how to route pipes etc.. Can someone please guide me. please refer to photos ![]() ![]() |

the trap in picture 4 lying on the floor, screws directly to the sink, So unscrew that gray bit off under the sink and put that on, then repipe from that to the first knuckle, they're all push fit so they will swivel, you might have to adjust the pipe a bit,

tom when i remove the grey pipe and screw the white trap its at differrent heights and was struggling to get the pipe to meet up to the trap

there are two elbows grey at bottom white on top, looking from here if you cut the pipe between those to the pipe is the same height as the new trap, will that work ??

tom would it be better if i took grey off and screwed on white trap and took photos and then maybe you could guide me

P.b's Idea would be easier, probably could loose the elbows and adjust the telescopic trap to suit 👍

no pb didnt fit it leaks all the time.its an absolute joke
