tom would it be better if i took grey off and screwed on white trap and took photos and then maybe you could guide me ye do that first aj, if we can't sort it, get one of those what PB says, that will give more to play with,

that will work aj, shorten the pipe and use the elbow you took off to connect to the piece of pipe you cut off to the new trap,

job update done and dusted thanks to everyone for all your help. I changed the grey elbow to a black one and changed the compression elbow to a push fit elbow. NO leaks so far Please refer to photos

McCalpine are without doult the best, the threads are better formed and they are more sturdy, those cheap floplas from screwshit always cross thread and if they get knocked they leak. they are worth the extra couple of quid,,

They're expensive compared to the others, but you'll get home on time if you fit them

Noticed the kitchen sink is still leaking but couldn't work out from where. I think its leaking from the tap hole chrome cover blanking plate. how do I fix this?
