question is push fit pipes and fittings should you put vaseline on the rubber washers? should you just put Vaseline on pipe fittings or both the pipe and the fittings? many thanks

No Vaseline. Not for this sort of insertion, anyway. laughing-dog-smiley-emoticon
Probably has petroleum in it like petroleum jelly. May eat the seals. Bit of spit if you want to ease it in, nice and gentle. Ooer, missus.

good question aj, if the fitting is brand new in the bag, it will have a coating of silly cunt lubrication on it, so non is needed, if its been in the tool bag or draw or box and out of its original wrapping put some on, if in doulbt use some more, the slippyier it is the better, I put it on pipe and fitting,
