i fitted a trappex centramag a while ago.Today I went to clean it and there was nothing on the magnet whatsoever How can that be? Have i fitted it wrong or is it faulty? There was a bit of black dirt on the curvy bit but nothing on the magnet itself. The central heating is working and has been used a lot over this winter. This is the link to the filter I fitted.

The magnet itself will be clean, if you unscrewed it and pull it out it will have collected around a plastic bit same shape as magnet.👍

AJ if you followed the video and came across no crap or very little, then I expect you've got a Combi and they tend to be very clean once you've got the initial contamination out.

I have seen these filters absolutely caked in it thrown away in the skip at work.
Mine initially had a few bits of magnate for the first couple of times I cleaned it out but since then it's been as clean as a whistle!
Just had an idea for a "What's in the skip at work" thread. I know people like to look at rubbish, what do you think if I made a little video of it?

I think thats a brill idea Tappy bring it on,,, I'm off work until after Easter now; when I get back though I'll take me camera then and we'll all have a look at "what's in the skip" today Planning a fishing trip on Thursday with a few of the lads from work (that's if it's not too cold).

The finish trip sounds a good start to the Easter break Tappy. The skip survey will be interesting as most companies have skip rats with a direct link to Fleebay. Still plenty snow around here after the Beast from the East and its little brother - yesterday riding around Weardale Attachment Deleted
