Is this correct?1.stat/water called for so flow sensor is activated.2 messages is sent to p.c.b 3.p.c.b sends signal to fan,fan blows 4.air pressure switch turns on by air blowing into it 5.air pressure switch is active send signal to gas valve to ignite? Want to try and do my own repairs on my baxi 28 due Tec when/if get a break down!

thats basically right endfeed but there's bit more to it with sensors, thermistors and spark, for instance, when the pcb tells the gas to go. the pilot goes first, that then plays on the spark electrode and lets the pcb know a pilot is present, then the gas valve opens, depending then on demand it can open fully or low the pcb is a clever little board doing lots of tasks, the average plumber/eng can't fully test it, he has't got the equipment so it very often gets swapped only to find it was a faulty sensor/loose wire other component, The trouble is once you've opened the parts package, its yours, they will not take it back, sad 1

I dont think the duo tec has an air pressure switch but most of your sequence makes sense and toms spot on about pcbs etc although the duo tec is decent boiler and its fault codes usually send you down the right road , the divvy cartdridge is the most common one for leaking then water in motor which shorts out boiler so best keep eye in that area first

The Potty/Baxi pre-Gas condensing boilers are pretty good, big ugly fuckers though! The irony is there plenty room to work in them, but they rarely go wrong. Divertors & NTC that’s all I’ve ever changed on any of them, fairly bullet proof.
For the novice; Baxi’s 3 Day course is amazingly good apparently. I did a model specific 1 day course with Potty/Baxi last year & it was first class.

Ours are the newer duo techs e/f.

I am often asked at work what courses I would like to go so I think I'll suggest that one and hope no one twigs what I'm actually on with. If it sneaks past the boffins it would be well worth it to see the gas lads faces when I turn up on the course

yeah divvy cartridge is divvy valve but you can replace cartridge rather like tap and shower cartridges there famous for weeping and going right into motor then blowing fuses so always check for any signs of leak in that area , but overall i think there good boilers i would fit them all day before the over priced wooosters but i reckon the duo tec days wilol be numbered soon as baxi are all over the place promoting these other new models i aint a fan off , so just like the ideal mexico days get it before there gone

Cheers jamesy I didn't know it is a cartridge, I would of been looking for one of the standard diverter valve with the rubber diaphragm in it😁.
