Every engineer ive spoke to who has fitted an INTERGAS will not fit anything else thereafter!! super cheap ,super reliable, Ive had a look ,and it does what it says on the tin, only 4 moving parts and unrivalled reliability🤔🤔think ill be grabbing one for £570 flue and timer next swap

hi glowbug any links to the boiler your rating. is it combi? Yes aj its the same unit sold and you set it up for combi or heat only etc, when i fit one ,will let you know verdict, but they offering 10 year warranties now, so must be a solid workhorse, dutch company methinks,if you fit one soon put a review up👍

I thought ‘FFS so much for their quality control’!!! And they’re as heavy as fuck too & you need a stand off bracket or there’s a flue joint in the wall. The stand off bracket is very flimsy for the big fuck off boiler! Never the less, it’s a good versatile range of boilers, but hey let’s not kid ourselves - no boiler is perfect!! The new Ferolli has only 4 moving parts too, fit one of them if you want to punish a customer........

Interesting feedback, dont like the thought of it being heavy dp, will check its weight out, ive spoke to 4 engineers who are now disciples of this boiler, one fits 20 a month and has jacked in installing vaillants for them, last 2 years not ine recall on the boiler, the heat exchanger has never had a mechanical failure in 20 years which magazine state, and ive seen £1200 vaillants main heat exchanger fail after 3 months, the jury is still out for me👀👀

Suprised there's no fiber washers to replace on the gas valve after removal and refit or am I missing something here?

It does DP, but he has 3 fitters and 3 apprentices doing em💪

I lurk on one or two other forums, and many on these also swear by the Intergas and won't fit anything else. Has been like this for a few years, and still no complaints so far about them. Sounds like a really solid and well thought out piece of engineering. The Rapid model comes set as a combi. It's a simple matter of changing the boiler's settings, and instead of being a combi, you can change it to run as a system boiler, heat only or even multipoint. This is unique as far as I know.
My own boiler is a 14 year old Vaillant Turbomax Plus, which is in really good shape. I believe it to be the best boiler Vaillant have ever made, and possibly one of the best of any combis from that era. Although I hope to get at least 20 years out of it, I know that one day it will be beyond economical repair. When that day comes, unless something amazing has cone onto the market, a new Intergas will be going in. Certainly won't be anything from the current Vaillant lineup.
Prices look very competitive. Intergas Rapids seem to be less than £700. Something like an Ideal Vogue is over £1000. Sounds like a bargain as I'm thinking that the Ideal won't be engineered anything like as well as the Inter.
