I used to be a copper head, if it aint copper, it aint plumbing, but I've seen zillions of flexi's and plastic on jobs and so now I'm thinking, is the whole world wrong and I'm right ?,,, So I now think, " why struggle for half an hour bending copper when a flexi takes 2 minutes and is acceptable to most customers, and if it leaks in x amount of years fuck um, its work for another plumber,

Love that precision hole in the ceiling e/f. What precise tool exactly did you use to carve such a neat hole?

whats wrong with using flexis and plastic some say krap work others say saved a few bob n bendn nitemares After initially branding them for diyers only, they've since become my first choice for tap connection. You only need a touch past hand tight and you can easily bend them out of the way to tighten up the top hat nuts. My main rule with them is that to only have a max 2" of play (overcut) in them. I can remember the plumbers of old telling me that they were very suspicious of copper pipe for a long time when it first came out replacing lead.

Prefer copper. but as Endfeed says, you can do some really long runs with no joins. Saves a massive amount of time. If it's on show though, really needs to be copper. Flexis are ok - some taps have them built in, so no choice sometimes. For myself it would always be copper tails though.
And yes, that ceiling hole looks like Michael J Fox did it.
