Asked to price for fitting thirty "Quality" TRVs and lock-shields with drain points has anyone seen any good deals on your rounds to the merchants?
Thanking you in advance for any advice offered.

I use the cheap ones ( no surprize there then) and in all the time I have done never had a problem, a cheap one is £6 a dear one is £20 they both work, people buy dear valves thinking they are better, if they work you can't get better than that, is my thoughts,

I always fit Drayton RT 212 or TRV 4 if the customer has a preference
I have at least 12-off those screwfix ones in my shed doing nothing never really like to fit them....
They came free with rads from screwfix that's why I have them..........

the thing I don't understand about the free screwfix valve is, they give you the drayton valves that cost £15 and not the cheap £5 ones, there must be a message there for us all,

The jobs with plenty money on them seem to go for Dandfoss TRVs but I've never found them that special, unless I'm missing a serviceability issues, like incert replacement being worth the effort?

I fit the cheap ones unless customers want to waste their money on dearer ones , they all do the same job and let's face it there ain't much to go wrong and I've never had a call back on cheap valves. Same applies for taps they all do the same thing.

If only silverline had invented pushfit pipe and fitting, plumbers would be rich as fuck, never ending work changing every plastic installation back to copper a plumbers dream, I wonder if bearswood is on the board of Silverline
