No need to remove pan, at most empty the cistern and slacken flushvalve to get a bit of play. That's the way to go rocky, Iv'e done it loads of times, leave the pan where it is, you will only create more problems for yourself. if you have some LS-X leak sealer then even better than silicone and make life a bit easier get a small mirror to see what your doing.

Got it apart, bolts underneath. Flush pipe too short, cut new piece & all ok after 20 test flushes!
Sink waste, dry then after an hour a single drip in the shelf, fitted new piece, same. Will not drip when I’m there.

Got another issue with this basin top. Won’t sit & wobbly, again not my install. Trouble is waste drain won’t tighten up to make a seal, lift the glass top a little & it’s tight. I’ve told builders maybe it needs to sit on a runner seal or something, no idea, don’t know make so can’t look it up.

Maybe the basin waste doesn't have thread running high enough to accomodate how thin the glass is and/or there is a spacer missing that sits between the basin and the counter top. Could some extra washers between the backnut and glass help?
I have recently had the opposite to this problem where the counter top was too thick and the basin waste wasn't long enough to pass through the counter and allow the backnut to thread on far enough to connect the trap.

I tried an extra washer but no good I reckon the glass top must sit on something. I’ll report back
