Hi PB so it does not matter that the number 65 is not specified on the new pump I want to use then

Thanks arfur just shitting myself about 1. getting the old pump out but they do generally just pull out
the problem I have is usually getting them back in with the washer in place correctly ( being able to pull the pipes apart far enough )
this is for me always hard but on 28mm pipes Nightmare ... also there is a 28mm bypass pipe that seems to connect the pipework
which is either side of the pump valves pipework if you can understand what I am on about...........

I know what you mean astra, getting the washers in is a struggle if there's no 'give' in the pipes,

the valves look in good order though Astra, So hopefully they'll shut fully off for you, Gotta admit, pumps are not my favorite job, they can go wrong which leads to drain down and that leads to the dreaded air locks, oh what fun, 1787034013 yippee

Tell me about it , just hoping that if I cannot get enough pipe spread to fit new pump and washers
Was thinking about drain down then cutting through that 28mm pipe as in my photo ,,then hopefully
be able to get enough space to do the deed then just put a 28mm comp joint on to reseal the pipe back.....

when you turn the pump valves off Astra open the bleed valve on the pump and see if the valves are holding, if not bung the tank or drop the pressure out if it is a sealed system.
