Isn't polyorc those sizes? I had a dig job recently, and was going to use my squeeze off tool, but wasn't sure if it was polyorc or not😟 Polyork is hard mate completely different to alkathene, polyork is absolutely shite stuff when you come across it.

Thinking about it polyorc has a grey colour to it! 🕵️ The last time I came across a mate wanted me to snatch a new stop tap on and when I got there it was that shite flapping about in the kitchen cupboard with copper pipe on the other side of the stop tap, luckily it didn't break off when I went for it otherwise I'd been fucked, I love living life on the edge 1787034013 yippee

One plumber I know put his spanner on a tight stop tap on polyoc and crack it snapped clean off at the concrete. Of course it was last job Friday! In spite of knocking an escape hole for the water through to the outside brickwork it still flooded out some ground floor flats and the tenants had to be temporary re-housed. After that incident he gained the name "flipper" from some of his work colleagues.

He was a good plumber PB, one of the best in fact, however he was all rush rush bonus bonus (tunnel vision I think it was called).
I've just remembered a funny story about him, I'll post it up when I've got more time.

Why didn't you just cut the pipe where the burst was and use one coupling PB?.
