yes since Tom recommended them we've had loads of requests for them, So the Boss said ," hey lets get on this", so we did, they're are not selling well to be honest, the chief buyer's comment was, " oh for foxs sake, is the management going to issue Ford Prefects next as company cars" , Lets look forward,not in the rear view mirror, But mister know it all head concho said, " Its my way or the highway ", so we have to have them on stock now,
Now we're talking about selling 'plumbers black'

I have a small pair in my tool box that I hardly ever use plus a large pair (a rogue brand) that I used extensively when I used to fit solid fuel boilers (now +25 years ago).
Good as they are I think that time as now passed them buy.
Perhaps if the cheap rogue branded footprints ever make a return to the selves then plumbers would then buy a pair for say £2.99 just to see what they are like.

good point well made Dick, the old Pop's were a charming little car, My Grandad had one and he let me borrow it a time or two. He did't know i was gay at the time, I found sitting on the gear change lever quite challenging as it was on the steering column, Its much better in todays mondeos ,
Anyways, all our counters have a designated plumbers and Electricians area where the staff are trained to make you a freshley made cup of tea,coffee,hot chocolate and counter snacks, Using Toolstation is not only lowering your standards of goods, Its also giving you nuked drinks without a biccie,
We are the leaders,they follow us but cannot match our quality or service,

I'll have word with the Scottish branches about that dick, Its our policy to offer drinks to the tradesmen, you are a tradesman i take it? we don't do it in the diy parts, maybe thats why, here's a tip, put a pencil behind your ear, and don't ask for a white thingy, now about my health, I have a check up every six months, then a spanish bloke every three and a frog inbetween and as i said before, i do have HGV so they allow me to drive those big wagons we have,  Pete |

Re-washering tight to get off 3/4" globe taps on the bath; iron pipe work, undoing tight crane unions on iron, 11/4" brass trap nuts, 11/4" boiler unions, Immersion heaters all ideal jobs for me large footprints, don't remember the last time I did any of this work though? The long handle on the genuine footprint had a slotted screwdriver built in to it (ideal for todays iso's). |

ah yea good point tappy, the pointed end is the ideal tool for getting those plastic caps out new radiator tappings, some can be very awkward but if you bang that end right in you can get a good purchace on the cap and screw it out,  |

I'll look into this Dick, All our branches are provided with means to make tea and coffee in the tradesmens entrance and doughnuts on a Wednesday , The shop manager sends a gofor out to the local supermarket to collect pre ordered doughnuts with various toppings, they are very popular and go quick, if you are laid in bed till 11 am, they will have all gone,  |
