the is a Wigan firm Famous for it, Hugh's Bros, they do council house repairs, they are always asking for plumber/joiner/tiler/plasterer tradesmen, they pay shit money and give the men a firms van with a tracker on, They have a very large turn over of employees because anyone can get a start, not many last long, but they still keep going , Every once in a while they get a good un, when that man realises he's better than all the other riff raff, he wants more money, but they wont pay more, so he leaves, So don't worry endfeed, there's no such animal as a multitradesman, Plumbers rule, the bearswood browns of this world get work but soon they run out of customers, downloadlove

Good plumbers are multi skilled anyway on top of plumbing we tend to need a bit of skill in electrics, tiling, joinery, plastering, roofing unless you're subbing out bits and bobs. I'm off out to my last job of the week in a few mins, leak in floor to ceiling boxing behind a toilet in a block of flats. Going with my endoscopic camera and if the leak isn't coming from the flat above I'll be going back next week to smash stuff up, that'll include boxing, boarding and tiling to make good after. If I sub that out I'll miss out on a good bit of beer money - sod that smiley-eatdrink009drinking

I think that things have turned away from multi skilling these days.
Around 20 years ago it was all the rage though, joiners would do plumbing, plumbers bricklaying, electricians plastering, plasterers do gas fitting - a right set of "Bertie Bodgit builders" were being born!
These days it's more like "hey, have you got the correct certificate to do that work"?
