Hi
I was just wondering if any one had used Sylglas tape and Denzo tape and could let me know the pros and cons of both.
I've just joined the forum after watchnga few of Tom's videos on youtube.

hello Tom welcome to the brew cabin, I've used denso tape for sealing a leak on a toilet joint when the customer did't want the expense of a proper job, it works good but looks messy, its also messy to use, I've never used sylglas tape so don't know, mybe one of the others will know more about it, feel free to ask anything on here ,

When I've used Denzo tape it's mainly been for industrial work for the preservation of hydraulic fittings, on domestic work I've used it for pipework which has been covered by concrete. As Tom stated Denzo tape is extremely tricky to use and very difficult to keep tidy - cleaning it off is an absolute nightmare but it fantastic for the preservation of the work piece, giving it an unlimited life expactancy.
Sylglass is more a bodge tape which I've used to repair damaged lead flashing and cast iron guttering, I found it easy to use, works well if the area is prepped as per the instructions and looks tidy upon completion but it's life expectancy is limited.

I've always thought that both these products where the same under different names. Very good for sealing WC/soil joints. Meths is very good for cleaning up the mess made by it. You can tell that I'm an experienced bodger,,, err.... no user of this product  |

bodging is not a word i'd use, your mending a leak at a price the custerd is prepared to pay;
example, a toilet connection is leaking on a cemented down toilet, so its either, new toilet or denso,
new toilet £200 minimum
denso £50 max,,,,
it gives the custerd the choice,

set your sights on a good school. Apply by letter and make your aims clear,In any case, if you are not satisfied with the allocated school (which will be notified to you in a letter), then you can appeal against the decision, and the letter will advise you how to do this, and by what deadline. If you are applying for a place in Year 1 or Year 2 then you can appeal if your member would have been offered a place if the classes were not over-subscribed.
