Does a 22mm pipe fit into an Imperial compression fitting?
Also, my 22mm slice won’t cut the imperial pipe. Is this usual?
What I had to do was hacksaw the pipe, fit an imperial to 22 coupler & go from 22. All ok. No leaks.
Good bit of experience.
Cheers all

I've got a couple of endfeed 3/4 - 22mm couplers, but for compression I have a small bag of 3/4 olives, that way I can use standard 22mm fittings on 3/4 pipe. Probably the simplest way to go about it and no need for any extra tools. I find that my slice doesn't cut 3/4 very well too, gets there eventually on thinner walled pipe, for the old council house heavy grade pipe I start with a slice and finish off with something similar to this: www.toolstation.com/shop/Hand+Tools/d10/Pipe+Cutting+%26+Bending/sd2996/Quick+Adjust+Pipe+Cutter/p58059

It was a fortic tank today with gate valve seized (no surprise there).
Couldn’t bung it as went in top of cupboard
Turn cold feed off & ran hot tap, it must’ve emptied 3/4 of the tank, took ages. No air locks though. Thank goodness

Fittings are the easiest option rocky as JC said, the squeeze tool was good in its day when you were running off alot of 3/4 fittings like on cylinders or iron pipe work.
