Got a job to fix external waste pipe leak & replace radiator.
Seems I hope to be able to swap rad without draining down as they don’t want new valves as the ones in situ are 12 months old.
I went in high in price.
Materials for external waste are £20. Custard supplies rad. Same width but not as high.
What do you charge in a Berkshire? I reckon max half a days work.

I don't like doing 2 completley differant jobs in the same house, they want a ' while you're here' price, It requires 2 site set ups, differant tools and two attacks on a crossfire, so job one rad is half a day, and job 2 is another half a day, In my book, there's no less than half a days work, So my charge would be a full day + materials, and don't forget this, I asked BB how much he charges, he answered, £18.75 per hour for a Master Handyman, so charge accordingly  |

I Live work and on the Hampshire / surrey / Berkshire borders I supplied the rad 600 x 600 used existing rad valves no drain done job done and dusted in 2.5 hrs no rushing Charged total all in £150.00 well happy custard over the Moon !!!!!!  |

Yep. I’m charging £150 for rad & £50 for external waste. Got the waste materials today £18. Hopefully valves will shut, using existing tails as they’re extensions, whip old off, new on, bish bosh, feck off home for lunchtime. Rct Jnr is off to Thorpe Park tomorrow so if her indoors pisses off out I can have a snoozing afternoon! |
