Replace radiator & fix external waste
Got my pipe & glue.
Custard has rad
All should be ok.
I’ll be using my plastic cut pipe slices & it’s got a 50mm one so no worries about the pipe not being cut square!!
I’ll take pics.

I'm doing push iron plumbing, changing a tap in a high street shop, no where to park it should go well unless I need some unthought of part, how likely is that going to be on a simple job like that,

yea, its a fucking great bike, I had a ride to halfords tonight, I thought I might upgrade as I'm having so much fun, I biked it there to the Wigan store and guess what,,,, there's no where to chain your bike up to, There are some rails up to the garage side, where they do motor repairs/bulb fitting and stuff, but there it was in other peoples way,, So I marches in and tells em, " yo, there's no where to chain up my bike " unbelievably I'm the first one ever to bring it to their notice, people who shop for bikes go there in cars,,,

not at Halfords I wont, fucking low end bikes at £300,then up to silly money,, no way,, I will look on ebay or in cash converters for a bargain,
today, I'm out just plodding along, going uphill towards a local village, this guy with a bike is stopped having a smoke, I passed him and nodded, he nodded back and several minutes later, he pissed past me at warp speed, I kept on plodding along low gear and cool, half a mile further on, this guy who pissed past is pushing the bike up a hill and I overtook him at my snail pace,, he only looks in his thirties, I'm 65, the hare and tortoise sprung to mind,

I'm doing push iron plumbing, You'll be like plumbers of the old days, Tom. My father grew up in the 30s/early 40s. He said the local plumber used to travel around on his push bike. He had one of those old hessian sack type tool bags on back of bike, and a roll of lead pipe on the handlebars. Wonder what he would make of today's plumbers with 15 grand Gerry vans full of shiny tools.

I remember the old 'bass' the trick was to hook your ball pein hammer through the handles and sling it across your shoulders, Inside would be, footies, bent pin, wiping cloth, tanpin, lead mallet, lead pipe grips, ( thats like a G-clamp for holding lead pipes together) while you solder them together, staight bladed screwdriver with a wooden handle, in many cases the handle was split because of twating with the hammer, oh how times have changed,

Handcarts were still used up until the 60’s only a few years before I started my time. Lots of Jobbing Plumbing firms had only one van, so you got dropped off at your job, took the bus/train or walked. I’d carry a WC or basin onto the Bus going to a job. Changed days for sure.
