Old man says he’s got a leak in concrete floor to rad. Concrete, parquet flooring then carpet.
Do these leak sealers work?
He’s not positive about floor being dug up. I don’t have infrared leak detection.
Any thoughts?
Cheers all

repipe on the surface is the only real answer to that, leak sealer MIGHT buy some time, but eventually it will have to be done proper,

Same as Tom for me - surface re-pipe.
I did the sealant in the system and it killed the boiler, it was a Vailiant Sine 18, so was worth the chance, as it was an old unit but really well made, there was more steel in that boiler than any modern car.

Chopping up concrete hoping to find the leak is really a no no for a plumber. You may find a leak and if your very lucky cut out that section of leaking pipe (with a huge struggle) then if you can get rid of all the water, you might just might be able to solder in a new section with a extremely high degree of difficulty.
However, there may be another leak down there followed by even another leak that you didn't come across, you may even make another leak yourself in your efforts to cut out that section of pipe that you found a leak on.
These are the problems that you get whilst trying to carry out this type of repair - go for a full re-pipe instead would also be my advice.

Sit down, listen & pay homage to the Master Plumber; With concealed pipes in concrete; wet the floor surface with a mop, put the heating on full blast, the floor will dry above the pipes first, but where there’s a leak it’s dry in a cloud pattern, so, there’s your leak/leaks. More of the concrete is getting wet & Heating up👍👍
