Got a strange one - customer has the above (conventional flue) gas fire and the centre two radiant's aren't as red as the outer two. The fire functions perfectly but the owner insists all radiant's used to be of equal brightness and I agree, anyone any advice on that type of problem? Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I'd look at the jets first, then the gas valve, I can't see it being anything else,

in the olden days we used to wash out the burner with water until someone decided it caused them to rot, maybe give that a go,

Fixed it - took the burner to the local garage and give it a hot power wash rather than another go with the tap and hose, then used the air line to dry it off and finally removed both jets and although they looked clean, checked each port with a nozzle cleaning needle.
