How much to remove a back boiler & put a combi boiler. Remove gravity system in airing cupboard & put combi in there as all the pipes are there other than gas.
Only a 2 bed place so seems not to difficult
It’ll be a friends & family labour only rate as they’ll buy all the big bits which I’m happy with.
I said 3 days max. £200 a day plus lunch!
Also pay my mate to commission it, sign off & check my work. He’s happy for £250.

Often the gas pipe will need increasing from 15mm to 22mm or occasionally bigger all the way from meter to new boiler location. Can work out a fair bit more if they're far apart with no easy route.
But seeing as you've got a tame Gas Safer, I'm guessing you've got this covered. |

That's a good start on these types of jobs. Often ends up with the pipe running around the outside of the house to save time and money. Looks shoddy, and that shiny copper on display tempts the pikey fookers. suspitious

Have you given that gas course thing up rocky ? paying for a geezer just to sign the paperwork sucks, commisioning is bullshit, the boiler is already set up on the bench during manufature and it does what it says, 13 litres pre min, All that fucking about with FGA's is a circus,

Combi conversions (back boilers means grafting like a coal miner) without profit police on your back, and doing a good job ,no recall etc between £2100 and £2900 💪in London £3400 upto £6000 if you are British Gas,

Some providers offer the work based experience but they want another £2k It’s a dilemma |

unmasked highwaymen is what it is, you could try blaggin in' it, get the relative books, Viper are the best I believe, study whats needed and book an accessment www.vipergas.co.uk/its hard work that way, but you're not feeding the bandits, you'll need a portfolio which I know you've aleady started and a letter from a gassafe reg installer to say you're a competent person and wing it from there, |

You’ve got to do so many hours on a recognised course & then a number of installs/hours They’ve got me by the ballox. If my mate was gas gas gas & he was 100% reliable idve done it ages ago I’ll look into it again soon. I’ll have more times on my hands. |
