So I’ve got to change a toilet flush. There’s no iso. I turned the stopcock off & it still filled. I went in loft & plugged the 2 outlets from the cwsc, it still filled.
Ive got a polar freeze kit, quite good. The pipe is plastic. I want to isolate water, whip the push fit tap connector off & stick an iso on.
What do you think? I don’t want the pipe to split as I’ll be in a world of hurt!
Cheers all

Some questions. when you plugged the tank will the toilet fill several times, sometimes there's enough water in the pipe to make you think its still live, when you shut the stop tap off, did all the taps still run at full pressure, does the kitchen tap shut off,

The kitchen tap was off or trickling. The toilet I only tried once. I didn’t run all the taps as it’s a big house.
What do you think?
It’s strange as the toilet doesn’t seem to be filling at mains pressure, it takes at least a minute to fill which when I’m standing there seems like forever!

I went to a house with two water meters and two stop cocks etc so just be cautious if it seems to be not what you we're expecting Rocky.

I'm thinking bung the tank then flush a few times and see if it stops, It the sink is only trickling then in my thoughts the toilet is fed from the tanks, I'd play save, turn stop tap off, drain water in tank by turning on all taps and wait till it stops, then do your work safely, refill after,
