I agree endfeed, I think they were introduced for places were cleanliness is very important, like hospitals, because you are not using fluxes, wirewool, heating the copper, Its more expensive to install and if you fuck up,( which we all do) its more time consuming to cut out and renew, I don't see any advantages, but we are just ' Johny on the spot' we get paid so they call the shots,

I can't get my head around it,if you're working on copper pipe you might as well use tec tight sprint(for example)rather than press fittings they look similar to me,easyer to use. Maybe press fittings are cheap or something...the mind boggles 😀😀😀😀

Mr Shiny Tools PB Plumber of Youtube fame bought a press fitting set up. Then admitted that there are lots of places where it's too tight to use it. I believe I've seen him do boiler installs with some pressed fittings where access is good, and some soldered where it's tight. That lad will need a bigger van soon with all these unnecessary tools. More tools than a Snap On truck. smiley-sad056 nay

I’m thinking about getting into it, but I think it’ll be more expensive. Pros & Cons as always👍
