I use wickes a lot but don’t have a trade card. Looks like I’m signing up!
I need to buy fence materials

Wickes used to be busy, but others like Toolstation and Screwfux have stolen a lot of their business. Now I go in, and there's tumbleweeds blowing down the aisles and disinterested looking staff scratching their arses. Only thing I buy from them is the round top rads because they are well priced and good quality - also delivered free.
Occasionally have a look in the plumbing fittings aisle for a laugh. How much?
Will have a look at the discount card though. Specially for when I'm buying rads. Thanks for the tip off, Endfeed.

Only ever one till open at local Wickes, but that's plenty for the few punters there are. Used to be several tills open years ago and busy. Then Been & Queued opened up nearby and in later years they added Tradepoint to attract trade customers. Then a Screwfix opened. Then a Stax - their tools and plumbing stuff is seriously cheap. Wickes is good for certain things, but I don't see many tradesmen in there loading up their trollies with everything they need like they used to. Too many other places doing similar stuff, but cheaper.
