Have a bath with a chrome twist handle which is meant to pop up the plug,it’s stopped working,tried adjusting the screw on the plug this doesn’t work,if I have to renew it looks like I’ll have to take the bath out as the twist handle is in the centre of the bath under the taps.Any suggestions cheers

Same a baths with taps along the wall.

those new fangle bathroom fittings are designed by women from hell, they've not a clue about maintenance and the problems they give, but here's my advice, undo from the inside of the bath and attach a long wire to the top section, then undo the trap and waste from under the bath, then pull the waste from under the bath and don't let the fixed wire to the overflow fall down behind, when the waste is out, make up the new waste and take the wire from the old to the new, then pull the wire back and the new waste will follow, Its fiddley but saves taking the bath out, good luck craig , don't forget to come back and tell us how it went,  |
