I never really use plastic but i prefer the plastic tank connectors, I've seen too many leaks from hard piped copper with the split poly washer from strain/wrong angle.
I suppose the Hep20 are the better ones? I normally use Ployplumb but think I'll move to Hep.

I agree, I'm old skool and there was only ever brass tank cons in the day, we used belt n' brasses, plastic washers to the back plus ptfe tape everywhere and boss white to the copper connection, We were told, " never use boss white on plastic tanks, it rots them " many plumbers used it anyway because a leak on a full tank is a nightmare, today speedfit and hep20 plastic tank connectors with rubber washers are so easy, they'll be having women plumbers next,,  |

Yes, I just think you can bend and waggle them and are a bit more forgiving and don't leak when you kick them...women plumbers that is. |
