Easy job once I started. All leaks fixed, taps on. Under bath was soaking wet. I’ll put some of it down to condensation but the rest to a leaky pipe. All ok. I’ve try to get the heads of the old tap later, see how much force is needed.

If you blowtorch chrome, does it discolour? I imagine so but never tried it.

Just yesterday I had to torch my own basin mixer to get a head off. I didnt give it full throttle mainly because of the rubber o rings, but never had any problem with chrome before. Not to say some of the cheaper crap wont spoil.

Great job, Rocky. Is it the camera angle, or does the bath waste pipe in the 2nd and 3rd pictures run uphill?
Or is it the tiles on the piss? ponder
