Attachment DeletedCan you pull a vacuum on a pressurised heating system ? It's actually easier to pull a vacuum on these systems than it is on a open vented system, just dump the pressure out and away you go but remember the same rules apply only work on one valve at a time. Attachment Deleted

Certainly saves a lot of time not having to drain down to change rad valves, etc. Have done loads this way on sealed systems. Usually like to turn off the f and r iso valves under boiler in case the aav breaks the vacuum.
How about snatching a heating oil tank valve swap live, tank full of oil, by pulling a vacuum with a vacuum cleaner?

How do you mean?
Turn off both valves?
Iβd like to know this as full drain down is a pain
Cheers

I don't bother with the boiler because if you're snatching anyway it's a very quick process, minimal amount of water. we all work differently and what ever suits you best and what you feel comfortable with.

Rather him than me, cause that looked a tricky clean up operation with the set up in the video - well done to that behave man.

I remember someone saying he changes stoptaps live in kitchens wearing only his underpants.
I never freeze, I've had an aerosol kit in my van for so long the box has fallen apart and all the bits rolled away and lost and the can is rusty.
I'm a wetvac snatcher but never touch boiler iso's as they leak and I'm not gas safe.

The only time I freeze on heating if it's a big property/building where the heating has many zones, you can shut that zone down and leave the others running then the freezer comes in handy. No drain down, no fuss.
