Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedI had to make a cup today, that hot tap was loose but the nut was totally solid, the taps are not an option to be swapped so I thought I'd make a cup and put another nut on, solid as a rock now.

I've been watching some of his videos. He really knows his stuff. Look at the finesse and skill with which he gains access to a pipe from the ceiling. Joists and other timber in the way - its no problem at all when you've got a spade bit.
And the screw he saw that was clearly penetrating that pipe with bubbles, water and stuff hissing all around will soon be history!

Well I've now watched all five parts to this. As far as I can see (and remember I'm both a dafty and a diyer so could look forward to being corrected). He had a couple of pex pipes going through a wooden joist. Now, I've never done anything with pex pipe but who in their right mind would actually cut the joist around the pipe to expose the pipe? I mean even as a dafty, once the water has been isolated (which are friend Bearwood doesn't seem to have done for some reason) wouldn't you just cut the pipe?
Cut the pipe: 1 minute Cut the joist: 2 hours and risk roof/ceiling collapse (especially with a prop used as he did without bearer). Then replace joist - at least a day
Part 4:

Just finished another 16hr day, so maybe not understanding this..., but surely all bearswood has to do is weld the thread on the water carrying tube, get his die out, and re-seat the tap? As I have intimated, I'm not an expert, but maybe not the best course of action. Is a bigger shovel needed when looking for leaks? Ah, lathes and plaster brings me back! And up to date with my place...
