Only common Aqualisa fault I get is air locks or dirty inlet filters, especially if the feed is from loft storage tank - this fault has previously given me run around if no lights common on the control panel which had me thinking it was a failed board.
What I do first now is switch the unit off - remove the shower hose from the holder then take the head off the hose now let it dangle close to the tray as possible - now set the dial to cold and switch back on, if a get a slight noise or water discharged I know it's an air lock and work at it until a get rid of the air lock.

Oh crap, I've already bought my Mira pumped equivalent. I hope its not as bad!
I think its very easy to plumb these in badly though. Certainly our other shower was put in very badly by some your your polish colleagues a few years ago. After fixing the leaks we were left with, it took a long time to redo the pipework to get rid of airlocks.

Best one I went to was a fairly new build (10yrs old) and it had two digital showers and both not working, I arrived and said to lady had anyone been in the loft and she said just a pest control guy for a wasp nest I went in the loft and the light switch and switch for the showers were side by side and he'd switched both off.
