What a job this was! Just deleting photos on my phone, this was few months back , leak behind an unvented, as you can see ,first fix was probably done in half a day ,when it was a building site🤠🤠and you should have seen the airlock when refilling , it was a flat , and no access to pipework in ceiling ( character building , I call these jobs👻)

Ah, my spiritual home!! I love New Builds, even when I was a big contractor I loved new build developments. The money is good, no greetin faced customers, minimum stress, working with lots of others guys & getting a good laugh! Start at 7 & in the house for 4. No Quotes to do, no ordering of materials, no phone calls to deal with - just chill😎😎🥃🥃
The Working is so easy, just repetitive & you sail through it. First Fix a 3 Bed semi in a day. Second fix & complete in two. You never work Friday PM & a hot meal every Lunch Time. Sites are like Holiday Camps now, all that’s missing is a wee bed for a Power Nap. But hey, that’s what the Show House is for, right👍👍👍😂😂😂

Do you use any Buteline Dickie ? No mate, most of the National Builders get big ‘kick backs’ from the Plastic manufacturers, so it’s mostly Polyshite, Hep2o etc etc. Polyshite is quite common, because of the huge discounts & kick backs. Awful stuff, the quality is completely shit, fittings blow off or snap. Worst bit about their PF system, the O ring is first in the fitting, so it’ll blow off easily!! Hep, JG etc are better as the grabring is first, the fitting may leak, but it’ll no blow off!!! 💦💦🌊🌊🛶

Hep & JG are good and personally I only really carry JG, never really had any issues with either apart from the odd dripper which is rare if used right. I'm not sold on buteline, I'm sure the quality is there but it has other draw backs for me. What's your thoughts on it mate ?

Not used it PB, but anything you’ve got to crimp is shit, you just can’t get Pressfit tools into some places.

That's my thoughts too, it's also an odd size ! Not many places stock it either and if you get called out to a job that has got it you're fucked without the gear. I'll stick with what I know and what works well for me.

This was one of them jobs where everything is against you, needed 2 hosepipes to get outside, white carpets everywhere, extra dust sheets, drain off seized, severe air locks when refilling.👹 You know ,either to walk away ,or go large on price , so if you get the job at decent price, sleeves up time💪
