Hello all, Here's a real puzzler....... I keep hearing a strange noise from around the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. Usually early in the morning (maybe I only notice at that time) It sounds something like...being at school and trapping a wooden ruler under a desk lid and then twanging it so it makes a kind of Vibration noise only for a matter of seconds.......... what the f€@k is it !!!! Any ideas btw I could feel the vibration when I touched the cold feed to the cistern. I don't think it's water hammer Please help. (Mrs coppernob is worried about exploding combi boiler)

I'd suspect the flapper is leaking slightly and the inlet is topping up.

Is that after the toilet has been flushed and is refilling or just a random action?

Don't rule out it not being a ruler being twanged.
