I’ve walked away from it
I turned up earlier, bathroom full of stuff.
Tenant has bought tiles & put them on wall, all uneven & total bodge, he’s cracked the bath by the taps. He’s tried to silicone bath & tiles before grouting!
I gave him 10/10 for effort but 0/10 for know how. It’s worse than one of BB’s attempts. Really bad.
I’ve let the LL know. For me to go back I’ve told him it needs the bath out, tiles off wall, cement board on walls so they’re level, bath in & tiled properly. No cutting corners.
I’ve told him to claim via insurance.
Plus when the jobs being done the tenants need to move out for 3/4 days into a travel lodge.
There’s no choice if he wants it done properly.

Good man, Rocky. Stick to your guns. This job's difficult enough without dickheads making it even worse. Sometimes the money's not worth the stress.
Turned down a new cylinder and rads job recently. Mate talked me into going round to have a look. It's in what they call a house of multiple occupation these days, ie. doss house. Place stank of fags and BO (I can handle the smell of smoke). Dirty, loads of clutter everywhere and wasters hanging around. Fook that. Would have to keep one eye on my tools all day and need to bin my clothes after. Too many nice old ladies who pay good money, make me tea and let me stroke their pussies to bother with shite jobs. |

Good man, Rocky. Stick to your guns. This job's difficult enough without dickheads making it even worse. Sometimes they money's not worth the stress.
