Now bear with me because I am a dafty but the pump valves look like they are still on so why did you need big stilsons? It looks like to my daft eyes there is a pump and then either side some valve where I think they'd normally be a pump valve - maybe just a reducer? Then next is a gate valve. My pump just has pump valves either side. P.S. Great for helping them out even though they didn't (or couldn't) fork out for a new boiler ! I took the best option of removing pump DD, where I disconnected was the weakest looking and easiset to reconnect( still like a welded joint) Ive seen the steel connecters disintegrate before. So i cracked best options , but still had to disconnect a tap in from cylinder, (cylinder lwas same age)and another conex joint. Put some new modern valves in and new copper pipe, to do away with all the old stuff. And my liquid ptfe was a godsend.😎

trust me, they are the same as the old grundfus, the chinks made them and when all this, smart bullshit came in, the chinks carried on producing what kept us all warm for 40 years, you will not regret putting a few of these on your van. this is the home of no bullshit straight talking plumbing, when the paper shuffling, middle management, bloodsucking leeches find out, they will shut us down, untill then , enjoy, Unreal price Tom!!

it bears testament to the old stuff, You will not see 40 year old pumps that are installed today, When ERP pumps first appeared, a certain worldwide boiler maker, complied with the new EU directives ,that the power rating should be so low. That they kept failing and having recalls, unofficially the good old ones Tom mentions were fitted as repairs, as they matched the pump body. ( they never recalled) I bet the extra journeys, and fuel burnt, by all the engineers on recalls to the ERP pumps, nullified ( maybe caused more damage!)than any benefits of low power consumption in the world🧐
