I call my big stuff the ' heavy artillery', I usually say, " no it don't want to move so I'm going for the heavy artillery, You can always see the curtains twitching as I'm coming back from the van,

Didnt want to upgrade to a combi , so just did pump to get him going again |

One of the merchants was telling me grundfos are bringing out a new range of smart pumps, more shite. I fit a lot of Wilo pumps because customers want them but personally you can't beat the Chinese version of the early grundfos for about £40, fitted loads never had a problem with them.  |

I just wanted a cheap one from screwfix ( mins away from job) they didnt have £70 one in ( next day )so had to buy a £99 one, my own fault as I was planning to use my van stock , but when grabbed it reailsed I only had a pump head no body!! Will get some vanstock next week wilos

Now bear with me because I am a dafty but the pump valves look like they are still on so why did you need big stilsons?
It looks like to my daft eyes there is a pump and then either side some valve where I think they'd normally be a pump valve - maybe just a reducer? Then next is a gate valve. My pump just has pump valves either side.
P.S. Great for helping them out even though they didn't (or couldn't) fork out for a new boiler !
