Mine was a black and decker one. It worked well, but the single battery I had slowly diminish in power until it would only last for a few minutes. I went back to the shop to buy a new battery for it...........................and we all know the rest!

I think it was. Elu one, 14v used it for a few years. But Bosch had battery SDS drills that were also very popular onsite.

The Makita 9.6v was very popular & robust one too. A great screwdriver drill, a lot of Sparks & Plumbers had them wee blue guns👍

My first cordless drill was B and Q own brand, I think it was Macallaster or something along those lines. Blue and yellow, 18v, heavy as fook. It did me while I was learning the ropes, did a loft conversion with it, must have been 1000 screws in tha, not all in one go. Was a bit weak after that, sometimes had to put a standard chuck on my SDS for difficult screws Then went for Ryobi one stuff, quite like it even though it's not much of a step up from Black and Decker, it does me OK. Seen a combi/impact dewalt set on a toolstation flyer for £200, I'm trempted...
