Hello all Quick question, my room stat is in the living room, do I need a TRV on that rad?

I know you don't want an answer from a Dafty so I'm sure you'll get the "definitive" answer soon from someone else but my understanding is you don't have a TRV on the rad located in the same room as the main room stat.

just to confirm, Dafty is correct, this is how it works,
a TRV will shut down a room you don't want to overheat, like a bedroom, So the idea is you control all the rooms with TVR's and the main room, usually the lounge you control with a room stat and when that is warm the boiler will shut down saving you gas,
