Attachment Deleted. Attachment Deleted..I need to switch the hot water off in this care home to fit a basin. Picture on the right, is that the t.m.v? Top gate valve to switch off hot water? It's feed from tanks in loft.

Any pics of the basin? Is it 15mm copper?
If so, freeze, cut & quickly fit an iso?

Looks like a dosing point for anti-legionella chemicals mate. Unless Iโm not following the pipework correctly.

Looks like a dosing point for anti-legionella chemicals mate. Unless Iโm not following the pipework correctly. it's got an electric cable from it to the tmv? It looks like a tap stat.๐ค

I would turn off the valve on the left of the TMV (additionally it looks as though it's a new one). the cold will pass through on the right ๐ค For the cold issue I would of went for the stop cock as the other two valves on the TMV look original and since being gate valves tend to snap when you look at it.

That looks like a bronze pump to me, so I'd guess that's the return on the secondary hot water circuit. That arrangement of tees and gate valves and that thermostatic thingy on the cylinder; could they all combine to be a primitive mixing valve for the control of a range of mixer showers?
Is the I Heater the only source of heat for the hot water? Could be a thermal cut out if it is (the unidentified cylinder stat).
