Had a lot on my mind over the weekend, Mum was critical on Saturday night in hospital so I slept there then back yesterday all day, picked up today . I went to fix a toilet that I was waiting for a part for, ideal standard conceala fill valve, went onto a push fit. So take it apart, & put new one in, won’t shut off, try again, nothing, then I realise when I turn the flexi on I’ve not connected it & it’s filling the cistern!!! Anyway all fixed Tired!!!

Sorry to hear about your Mum Rocky, tough times mate. Regardless, hold onto the good memories & fun times. I was advised that when my Mum was ill a few years ago & it does help, we shouldn’t think of their illness & pain, but what they gave us & how fortunate we are that they gave birth to us.
Six years since I lost her & boy she could be hard work, but she raised me, my brothers & sisters to be strong, practical, hard working people. That’s why every day I know I was blessed she was my Mum👍👍👍

Sometimes when personal life becomes a bit tough it can be a bit of welcome relief from it to do a bit of plumbing.
Looks quite a contraption that fill valve rocky, another one of your specialist awkward jobs?

Looks quite a contraption that fill valve rocky, another one of your specialist awkward jobs? It was ok really, it’s a flexi from main then the push fit goes up through the cistern, it goes along to fill valve then just pushes on. It should’ve been a 2 min job yesterday but cost la vie! It’s done now. At least the toilet was nice, it’s in an office block, I now know how to remove the panels. Try to lift up usually. Any tips on how to get the up? I use a flathead screwdriver to pry them up but it left a mark! I couldn’t lift it by just pushing it.

Good idea that. You can then lift the up. They’re not always heavy but it’s awkward to get any purchase to lift them up

That’s cheap too. I’ll buy a couple & test them out. Cheers
