Laco too for me, When i was on council refurbs, they banned it, ( some stupid know it all clerk of works said, it will rot the pipes) wanker, anyway we had to use yorkshire flux, I got used to it and its ok but, its very grippy and in hot weather its worse, So Laco all day long for me.,

Echoes my experience Tom. We once had Laco flux too then had it banned and we all had to go back to Yorkshire flux for a while. A right pain it was too (back to cleaning fittings ). We then had a wrong delivery of self cleaning Powerflow flux which the gaffer was already sending back - then a plumber pulled off a masterstroke and pointed out that it says it's "the flux for lead free soldering" on the tin! Since then it's been Powerflow flux that I've used. It can grip the fittings at times though much less if you only apply it to one surface before assembly. Tappy,

Yes, laco.
I have used powerflux before but once on the fittings you can’t move the buggers. I stopped with all that.

I'm not really loyal to any brand as long as it works. When I'm running low I'll grab one, had powerflow a couple of times and it does grip the fitting, nothin you can't persuade with pliers though. On Laco at the moment, don't really do a lot of soldering, probably get the torch out a couple of times a week if that.

Does everybody thing LaCo is less likely to cause ‘lockup’ on fittings?. Powerflow can be a cunt for this!!
